With us, you can build a new skateboard from the ground up. The heart of a skateboard is, of course, the wooden plank: the deck. You’ll find every conceivable shape and width in the TITUS online shop . Which deck width is right for you depends on a few factors—such as your experience and your height.

Basically, you just need to feel comfortable on your skateboard deck! You can find more information about the various deck characteristics and special constructions in our Skateboard Guide.

Which skateboard trucks should I get?

What’s still missing from your setup? Of course, trucks and, naturally, wheels. When it comes to trucks, you should pay attention to the right height and, above all, width. The width of your skateboard trucks depends on the width of the deck; you can find an overview of which truck width fits which deck in our Skateboard Guide.

Or you can simply use the filter in our shop and select your deck width. The height affects, among other things, the steering response, allowing you to adjust your trucks to be softer or stiffer. You can also mount larger wheels on taller trucks.

Choosing the Right Skateboard Wheels

When selecting your wheels, there are a few things you should keep in mind. The most important factors here are hardness and diameter.

The hardness of your skateboard wheels should be chosen based on how you plan to use your new skateboard. On rough surfaces , it’s best to opt for softer wheels, while on smooth surfaces—such as for transition or park skating— harder wheels are generally preferable.

The diameter of the wheels is measured in millimeters. If you want to ride faster , go for larger wheels; for the park or street skating , however, smaller wheels are generally better suited .
