Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.

Moin, bin kompletter Einsteiger und hatte ursprünglich 95A-Rollen am Board. Mit den 78A-Rollen von OJ Wheels sind unregelmäßige Böden (z.B. gefpflasterter Supermarkt-Parkplatz) deutlich besser befahrbar, also für mich zum üben und lernen absolut geeignet. 60mm aufm 'nem normalen Skateboard mit hohen Achsen haut hin, größer dürfen die Rollen aber vermutlich nicht werden.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden und der gewünschte Effekt ist eingetreten.

Hab die Rollen an meinem Lieblingsbrett austauschen müssen, weil sie echt langsam waren. Im Internet gibt es immer den Hang die Superlative noch zu toppen, aber die OJ-Rollen sind die schnellsten Rollen, die wir in 60mm / 78A auf unsreren Brettern haben. Und sie sind an den wichtigen Stellen extrem paßgenau. Man kann die Lagerinnenringe gegen die Abstandshülsen spannen und die Rolle läuft exakt auf den Rillenkugellagern. Reibungsarm und praktisch axialspielfrei. Das habe ich bislang nur bei den "antiken" Nash-Skateboardlagern für die 2"-Rollen aus den 70ern gehabt. Auch die Scherfestigkeit des Kunststoffs läßt nach einigen Splitüberfahrten noch keinerlei Einschnitte erkennen. Die Rollen haben keine Fase aber fahren sich trotzdem in Kurven sehr stabil, der Grenzbereich zum Traktionsverlust ist gut beherrschbar.

Das Brett rollt und rollt und rollt, schon weniger als 2% Längsneigung reichen auf einer neu asphaltierten Strecke aus. Bei geschliffenem Beton ist es noch heftiger.

Offenbar gibt es bei Rollentechnologie mehr als nur Härte und Materialoberbegriff als Kenngröße. Die Rollen sind vllt nicht billig aber günstig. Weniger pushen schont die Puschen :-)

Die Rollen fühlen sich super an und bewegen das Holz wie auf einer Wolke über den Asphalt. Top.

seit diesen Wheels ,höre ich nicht mehr auf zu rollen. ich brauche nun zwar ein Ricepad, aber nunja.. ich wollte es ja groß. super !

OJ are the ultimate wheels for cruising/all terrain. Was in a dilemma to choose this or Bones Rough Riders but ended up with this classic (would need them only for cruising/street riding). These are quite soft, already feel it with your hands and I trust people's opinion and OJ's fame that Hot Juice is the thing to choose when you are about to hit the streets and rough terrains!
