Powell-Peralta presents a high-quality wheel designed to offer the perfect balance of speed, grip and slide-ability - the SSF G-Slides 85A Wheels!

In sizes of 56mm or 59mm, these wheels are a little smaller than most longboard wheels, but they offer a different type of ride. They can be used on cruiser boards or longboards and have a cored design to reduce weight. They feature SS Formula urethane that's designed to stand up to extreme slides while maintaining a grippy and comfortable ride. They have medium-soft 85A durometer.

Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.

Perfekt, falls...

Das sind die Rollen meines Lebens, rolle seit über 10 Jahren, hauptsächlich street. Hier aber doch ein paar Warnhinweise:
Sie sind breit, falls man nicht mindestens eine 8.5 achse hat, bleibt nicht viel platz zum grinden.
Sie sind groß, ich nutze die 56 mm variante. Bei dem 242 Deckshape von Powell, mit high trucks hat man selbst ohne raiser kaum wheelbite.
Ok, sie könnten innen noch hohl sein oder so um das Gewicht zu reduzieren, aber Ich liebe Sie einfach. Hatte sonst 8.5 zum cruisen und filmen, bin jetzt von 8.0 auf 8.5 gewechselt um immer dieses Rollgefühl genießen zu dürfen und trotzdem Platz zu haben bei grinds. Sie schützen auch die Achsenmuttern falls man mal primo landet. Direkt Railflips hab ich jetzt gar nicht dran gedacht, wollte es nicht provozieren, vielleicht könnte dazu noch jemand schreiben.

Tolle Rolle, aber …

Genau richtig für die Straßenverhältnisse hier in der Gegend. Gutes Fahrgefühl. Aber dank des mutmaßlich härteren Kerns fühlen sie sich nicht total watteweich an. Ich brauche immer noch ein bisschen Geräusch. So volldämpfende, kaugummizähe Longboarddinger sind nichts für mich. Die G-Slides sind flink und machen sich ganz hervorragend an meinem Oldschool Board. Nur die versprochene slideability kann ich nicht bestätigen. So richtig querstellen lassen die sich nicht. Ich hab trotzdem Spaß dran und freu mich – nicht mehr jung an Jahren – über jeden Ollie, Shove-it oder Boneless, den ich nicht auf die Schnauze falle :))
