The TSG Roller Derby 3.0 Kneepads are new and improved knee pads with a sewn-on knee cap made of sturdy HDPE and our proven closure system. Thanks to the pre-shaped knee cap sewn onto the pad, the kneepads not only offer the best protection, they also comply with current US regulations, which no longer allow riveted caps. The upper strap with a double-layer Velcro tab ensures the best hold and securely fixed strap ends. This prevents the straps from snagging on clothing or when in contact with opponents. The upper and lower straps can be adjusted to fit the leg perfectly. A practical neoprene butterfly closure on the back and a quick-release buckle on the lower strap guarantee optimal comfort for every derby player. Silicone prints on the inside of the pads also ensure that they always sit perfectly on the kneecap. Together with the slim design and the all-round EVA foam padding on the knee, these are the ultimate knee pads.

Riser pads are used to increase the distance between the wheels and the deck in order to prevent undesirable contact between the wheels and the deck (wheel bites) when turning.

Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.
