For a helmet to fit properly, it must fit exactly. TSG manufactures helmets in many different sizes. Depending on the model, up to four shell sizes are used. You can fine-tune each shell size using inner padding and/or an adjustment dial (Dial-Fit system).

HOW TO MEASURE CORRECTLY

To measure your head circumference, simply wrap a tape measure around your head – above your ears and just above your eyebrows. Make a note of your measurement at the point where the tape meets.

Skate-Aid: founded by Titus Dittmann, this initiative utilizes the power of skateboarding to bring hope on four wheels to young people across the globe. Whether in Afghanistan, Africa or the continuing work in Germany, Skate-Aid brings a share of happiness and security to children who have been deprived of their childhood.

Skateboarding knows no frontiers and wars, colour of skin or hate, rich or poor: Skateboarding unites and promotes a sense of identity and purpose especially in the development of young people. That is the motivation of the Skate-Aid initiative. With the purchase of the Skate-Aid version of this helmet you'll be actively supporting this cause.

Stay Strong Initiative: founded by former BMX dirt jumper and three times U.S. Gold Medalist Stephen Murray. In 2007 Murray survived a crash following an attempted double backflip that ended his promising career and left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.

The Stay Strong Initiative raises funds for Stephens medical treatment and with the purchase of this helmet you actively support Stephen and his family on their troublesome journey.

Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.
