The Silencers by Dooks are very practical little helpers. Did you ever wonder why your mounting bolts come lose? It is due to vibration occurring while skating. These bad boys provide a soft buffer between baseplate and deck and therefore prevent the annoying lose screws.

Silencers, however, are no riserpads! They are only 1,5mm thick and will be squeezed even thinner when mounted.

Features:

-anti vibration pads
-prevents loosening of the mounting kit
-1,5mm thick (unmounted)
-100% rubber

Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.

For more detailed information on skateboard trucks, you can refer to the Titus Skateboard Guide.

How we handle reviews: Anyone can review this item – you do not need to have made a purchase from us to do so. We have been able to link reviews marked ‘Verified’ to an actual order placed in our shop. For reviews without this mark, we have no proof of purchase; we cannot therefore confirm that the person owns the item. The star rating is the average of all published reviews, whether verified or not. Reviews are published without prior review by us, whether positive or critical. We will only remove a review retrospectively if it is offensive, discriminatory or clearly biased, does not relate to the item being reviewed, infringes the rights of third parties or contains advertising. A poor review alone is never a reason for removal.
