To properly celebrate and test the new etnies X TITUS Marana Michelin shoe, we needed a particularly worthy setting. Since etnies' European headquarters are located in Amsterdam, there was nothing more obvious than to travel to the Dutch metropolis once again. Although, “once again” is actually nonsense, as none of the guys had been to Amsterdam in ages. Friend of the house and local Rob Roulaux had often raved about “countless new spots” and, to our great fortune, was also available to serve as our spot guide.

So on Friday afternoon we set off from Münster to Amsti. On board were Josh Junkes, Deniel Cramer, and Antoni Zeyer, as well as Joost Küker and Thomas Gentsch as videographer and photographer. Once we arrived in the Sloterdijk district, where our hostel was located, we easily spotted 10 spots in the immediate vicinity of the hostel, some of which were so new that they appeared to have never been skated before. After a visit to the supermarket and a few Insta clips, we found ourselves back at the hostel rather early and treated ourselves to a good night's sleep – after all, the next day was going to be packed with tricks.

Fortunately, it didn't rain on Saturday morning, even though it looked like it might at first glance. The sun had a hard time breaking through, but that didn't stop the guys from going on an extensive spot tour. 1.5 days in Amsterdam is really too short. There are now an incredible number of (new) spots there, which is certainly due in no small part to the city's obvious “building boom.” New (residential/commercial) neighborhoods are springing up everywhere, which, as is to be expected (at least in Holland), always bring with them interesting spots.

In the evening, we went out for a nice meal and the next morning we went skating again. Unfortunately, it started to drizzle at some point, so we decided to head back home to Münster. Our 40 hours in Amsterdam turned out to be very productive and, in addition to discovering some awesome spots, proved one thing above all else: the etnies X TITUS Marana is a very good skate shoe!
