Riserpads/Shockpads

Riser pads are used to increase the distance between the wheel and deck to prevent unpleasant contact between the wheels and deck (wheelbites) when turning.

Shockpads dampen vibrations when rolling and relieve the deck from shocks. They are made of a soft material (rubber or soft plastic) but, unlike riser pads, only provide a slight increase in height.

Mounting hardware

When selecting the mounting kits, it is important to consider whether you are riding with or without pads.

Without pads, bolts with a length of 7/8‘ are sufficient; with pads, depending on the height, bolts from 1’ in length should be used. The tightened bolts should not protrude unnecessarily beyond the nut.

No riser pads = 7/8‘ to 1’ screw length

1/8‘ riser pads = 1’ to 1 1/8’ bolt length

1/4‘ riser pads = 1 1/4’ screw length

1/2‘ riser pads = 1 1/2’ screw length

Variations such as cross screws, Allen screws or self-locking screws are subject to personal taste.
