BS 180°

For most of us, the backside 180 is the most difficult of all the 180s because you're rotating in the blind direction. But once you understand how the rotation works, it pretty much happens automatically. A solid ollie serves as the basis for learning the bs 180.

The placement of the feet is similar to that for the ollie and to the fs 180. Crouch down a little and twist the shoulders in the direction opposite to the planned rotation.

Your feet execute the ollie motion while your shoulders and arms point towards the direction to which your body is supposed rotate.

You're now half-way through the rotation and your body has rotated by about 90°.

Now, you're moving downwards again and your body completes the rotation. During the landing, the only thing you have to do is maintain the balance on the board in order to roll off fakie or switch.
